Michele Grimaud created Amphitane Films on an whim in 2003, while she was production manager for OGNON PICTURES & 3B PRODUCTIONS. While working with other talented people in the movie world she decided to concentrate on independent movies. The Amphitane Films team is very complimentary and active in audiovisual production and is very aware of the economic limits that independent film makers have to work with to get their films made.

Michele is self taught in everything from photography to filmmaking. During her time as photographer assistant she won the ILFORD PRIZE IN 1992 and participated in several art shows. She has participated in different films as stage director, location manager in a variety of movies such as “The lovers on the bridge” by Léos CARRAX, “Destiny” by Youssef Chahine or “The life of Jesus” by Bruno Dumont all these films inspired her to continue in the 7th art.
Michele took a class to perfect her production skills and then started as production manager for feature films, TV, and documentaries in 1996. After working 10 years for prestigious production companies such as Ognon Pictures and 3B productions she then went on to create her own production company Amphitane Films. Michèle is the executive procucer for various fiction films, producer for documentaries such as “Du jour à la nuit” or Chennaiwood. She then wanted to start writing, to perfect her writing skills she took John Truby’s Masterclass: Scenario Anatomy at the Sorbonne in Paris.

Studied at INA as a production manager and at The ESRA in PARIS, Joannic has worked as location manager for 20 years on fictions stage sets with more that 30 TV films and various series to his credit such as “Baron Noir, Kelihja, Epithète Films” at the same time working for other production companies. He has acquired a very solid background in different audio visual domains. He regularly continued writing fiction scenarios, directing short films and a documentary series “Les pieds sur Terre” as Producer and director.
Angela was born and raised in New York city. In her early twenties she move to France where she worked for a renowned florist Christian Tortu. While working for Christian Tortu she was responsible for prestigious weddings and fashion shows such as Dior, Channel, Balmain and Kenzo's fairwell show. She then took on another very different adventure. Taking care of the opening of a Belgium clothing store Bellerose in the marais. She took care of team management, hiring, planning, store organisation and merchandising. Angela is turning to a different field of work which is in movie production where she takes care communication and follows the commercialisation of short films for Amphitane films.
